53% of Budapest voters, who have promised definite participation in the 2019 municipal elections, said they are going to vote for István Tarlós, and only 40% of them are planning to support Karácsony, while 7% of them would vote for the „opposition of the opposition”, Róbert Puzsér. 

65 per cent of Hungarians, that is more than 5 million people believe that the persecution of Christians is a serious concern, while only 22 per cent of the respondents (1,8 million) think the opposite – a recent national representative study of 2000 people shows. István Tarlós would collect half of votes (50 percent) even on his own, meaning that his significant lead in the competition for the title of Mayor of Budapest has prevailed according to the latest, Budapest, poll of Nézőpont Institute.

Not only is István Tarlós leading the race for the  Budapest Mayoral Elections (supported by 52 percent of decided voters), but he is considered to be a probable winner compared to his challengers, according to a Budapest survey, completed on Saturday and conducted by the Nézőpont Institute.

The Fidesz-KDNP party alliance occupies a favourable position as regards the autumn local elections: 3.3 million support the politics of the governing coalition, and this figure has been stable over 3 million ever since January 2018.
