PÉTER MÁRKI-ZAY FAILS AS MAYOR NOT AS A POLITICIAN

More than half of Hódmezővásárhely residents (53 percent) are dissatisfied with Péter Márki-Zay’s performance as mayor, and only four out of ten (39 percent) are satisfied, reveals a public opinion poll conducted by Nézőpont Intézet.

Not independently of this, a Fidesz candidate would defeat him by 54 percent if elections were held this Sunday.

With roughly four months to go before the autumn municipal elections, most Hódmezővásárhely residents are unhappy with the Mayor’s performance. Compared with a poll conducted by Nézőpont Intézet in March, the number of dissatisfied residents has increased by 8 percentage points (45 to 53), and compared with a poll from last summer, the same number has increased by 13 percentage points (30 to 53). This means is that while previously more people had been happy than unhappy with the Mayor’s performance, by March the numbers were equal, and at present residents unhappy with Péter Márki-Zay constitute the majority.
